MARYROSE DAMASO & CELERY
Here is a very touching and uplifting video made by my Maryknoll College classmate, Cynthia Santos-Serrano’s sister, MARYROSE DAMASO, between her prayer and reflection. Maryrose and her husband, Dennis, are members of Couples for Christ.
For me, this video embodies the Filipino’s strong faith under the most trying and difficult circumstances. Maryrose chose this relevant and heart-rendering song of the BUKAS PALAD MUSIC MINISTRY based on Isaiah 43, which promises God’s redemption and restoration to those who believe in him.
FR. MANOLING FRANCISCO of the Society of Jesus, a beloved and well-known composer, wrote the music. ONOFRE “PAGSI” PAGSANGHAN, an equally loved and highly respected educator of Ateneo de Manila University, composed its lyrics.
Maryrose was inspired to do this video, especially for Filipinos suffering from the coronavirus pandemic. The Philippines and the rest of the world will never be the same after this. Only God remains unchanged.
