Synchronicity is an inexplicable and profoundly meaningful coincidence that stirs the soul and offers a glimpse of one’s destiny.” – Phil Cousineau
It’s been three years since I experienced life-changing moments, including my near-death experience in December of 2021 and the death of three people in the family during the COVID-19 pandemic. I asked God the reason why it was only me who survived among the four of us who all suffered from the same respiratory illness. This paved the way for me to reflect more deeply on the purpose of my existence in this lifetime.
The word synchronicity came to mind as I reflected on God’s words and the many transformations in my life after leaps of faith – focusing more on the present moment instead of thinking about the pains of the past and fears of the future. The signs I prayed for during the most trying moments brought me to my renewed life on a farm surrounded by a bigger and caring family – the Paraiso community. A community sharing the same goal of helping people with fewer opportunities and helping extend the lives of older people by applying the Blue Zone principles.
I resonate with this quote from Elisabeth Kubler-Ross: “There are no mistakes, no coincidences; all events are blessings given to us to learn from.”
