CELERY
The above video is one of those I cannot forget, and I probably must have forwarded this to as many people and Viber groups as possible. The event took place in January 2022, and it was the following month when Russia attacked Ukraine. The event could not have come as timely as this.
Perhaps, some of you may or may not believe in miracles and signs. But in my limited spiritual experience, there have been a number of those in my life that manifested its reality – loud and clear as daylight.
Two incidents in the Scriptures reminded me of this Ukraine event. The first one was the Baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan.
Matthew 3: 16-17
After Jesus was baptized, he came up from the water and behold, the heavens were opened [for him], and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove [and] coming upon him. And a voice came from the heavens, saying, “This is my beloved Son,* with whom I am well pleased.”
The second one was the Transfiguration of Jesus.
Matthew 17: 1-3, 5, 9, 12
After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him.
While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them,* then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”
As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, “Do not tell the vision* to anyone until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”
but I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him but did to him whatever they pleased. So also will the Son of Man suffer at their hands.”
The strong message to me is that the appearance of the dove in Ukraine during the feast of the Baptism of Jesus and the Transfiguration of Jesus were similarly significant, portentous but comforting, and gives me hope!
God had given the 35 million Christian Ukrainians, 71.7% of the population, and those of us who believe in him a most powerful and consoling reminder. Despite the pain and suffering we may experience in our lives, or those that will yet take place, this Almighty Being of ours will always be there for us — to strengthen us, help us overcome our trials and difficulties, and share in the end, his triumph and victory if we remain faithful and continue to trust him.
